Marketing Account Manager (B2B)
Milwaukee, WI

About the Role
This Marketing Account Manager position is a marketing and communications role — not a sales position. This is a hands-on, mid-level role responsible for day-to-day program management and execution across assigned client accounts.

The Marketing Account Manager leads integrated marketing communications programs including public relations, digital, social, and content development, ensuring all work aligns with client objectives and agency revenue goals. This role combines strong writing, account management, project management, budget ownership, and relationship-building skills.

You’ll work closely with agency leadership while serving as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, including C-level stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to executive leadership and contribute to both client success and agency growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships with client stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners
  • Proactively lead and advance client marketing programs across multiple accounts with integrity and strategic focus
  • Manage and execute complex integrated marketing programs, contributing directly through content development, planning, and campaign execution
  • Collaborate with senior and executive agency leadership to support account performance and overall agency success
  • Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, industries, and goals to ensure marketing strategies align with business objectives
  • Guide and support junior team members on account tasks to promote team development and consistency
  • Establish clear frameworks for projects, including goals, objectives, strategies, and timelines
  • Participate in all stages of project development: research, strategy, design, campaign execution, and reporting
  • Review, edit, and proofread deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with brand and channel best practices
  • Utilize agency processes and project management tools to deliver work on time and within budget
  • Own client budgets and billing, maintaining transparency and profitability
  • Provide accurate scopes and cost estimates in partnership with agency leadership
  • Act as liaison between clients, internal teams, and vendors to ensure clarity of scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Communicate risks or issues proactively and recommend solutions
  • Identify and support organic growth opportunities within existing accounts
  • Manage client meetings and deliver status presentations
  • Stay current on marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, including effective use of AI tools

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of related marketing experience (agency experience preferred)
  • Experience supporting B2B manufacturing marketing efforts preferred
  • Proven success in client-facing roles, translating business goals into actionable marketing plans
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading and executing integrated marketing programs
  • Strong project management skills, including schedules, budgets, assets, and workflows
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and skill sets
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and deadline management skills
  • Strong active listening and solution-oriented communication style
  • Track record of delivering high-quality, consistent results
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and emerging tools to improve efficiency and quality
  • Team-oriented mindset and commitment to client success

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with or without reasonable accommodation

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, manage impactful client programs, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused agency environment.
