POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Engagement Strategist plays a key role in advancing and strengthening Mount Nittany Health’s mission in the community by coordinating outreach efforts and strengthening key partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Community Engagement, this position supports the development and execution of strategies to enhance community outreach, activate the Mount Nittany Health brand, and generate support for key healthcare initiatives aligned with the organization’s strategy. The strategist will also develop and maintain a sponsorship evaluation tool to measure impact and effectiveness and collaborate closely with the Mount Nittany Health Foundation and other internal stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, healthcare administration, business, nonprofit management, or a related field required.
2. Five years of experience in community engagement, corporate sponsorships, nonprofit partnerships, brand activation, or related fields, preferably within healthcare or a mission-driven organization.
3. Experience managing sponsorship programs, grant funding, or community outreach initiatives, including stakeholder collaboration and evaluation of impact.
4. Strong background in event coordination, public speaking, and relationship-building with community organizations, corporate partners, and internal stakeholders.
5. Experience working with healthcare organizations, foundations, or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
6. Proficiency in budget management, impact measurement, and reporting to demonstrate ROI on sponsorship and grant initiatives.
7. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage diverse audiences.
