About the Role:


The role is part of Motive’s Enterprise Systems team and is at the intersection of Finance and Technology, focusing on the design, implementation, and optimization of our core financial technology stack.


You will act as a key subject matter expert for systems like NetSuite, Coupa, and Zuora, ensuring their integrity, scalability, and compliance. The primary mission is to drive operational efficiency across the entire Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles by building robust system integrations and collaborating closely with our cross-functional teams (Finance, Engineering, Product)


What You’ll do:



  • Serve as the System Administrator and primary subject matter expert for NetSuite, leveraging core NetSuite functionalities to manage system configurations, user roles and permissions, standard records, custom records, fields, forms, and overall application governance.

  • Design, implement, and support core finance systems, including NetSuite and integrations with Salesforce, Coupa, and Zuora.

  • Participate in system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and ongoing platform optimization, including involvement in large-scale system implementations or migrations.

  • Ensure financial data integrity, compliance, and system reliability across all finance platforms.

  • Design, develop, and maintain NetSuite SuiteScripts (Suitelets, User Event, Client), workflows (SuiteFlow), and custom searches/reports to meet complex business requirements.

  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and data analysis for troubleshooting, reporting, and process automation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Product) to gather requirements and deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document system issues, enhancements, and process improvements across the financial stack.

  • Support SOX compliance and change management processes for all finance systems, ensuring alignment with audit requirements.

  • Maintain technical documentation, data flows, and configuration standards.


 


What We’re Looking For:



  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with finance/ERP systems, with a strong emphasis on NetSuite Administration/Consulting/Development.

  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of other financial technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience with system integrations using APIs, REST/SOAP services (Must Have), and middleware platforms (Boomi/Mulesoft, etc.) (Nice to have).

  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and data analysis for troubleshooting and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of core financial processes: billing, revenue, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and general accounting.

  • Familiarity with Pre IPO and Post IPO Financial audits and controls

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including scrum, backlog grooming and Proven experience in Agile process improvement.

  • Experience in NetSuite version control, including an understanding of how NetSuite configurations, scripts, and objects can be tracked and managed using GitHub or similar source control systems. 

  • Willingness to adjust working hours to ensure collaboration during Pacific Time
