Summary
  • The occupational health technician works under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and under the direction of the provider and/or nurse. The occupational health technician provides a wide range of assistive services to promote patient flow, patient information gathering and patient care in the clinic setting. Performs front desk duties for the Provider's office to support patient care delivery and follow up. This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
  • Greets and escorts patient to exam room.
  • Interviews patient and documents patient’s response in the medical record according to standard.
  • Maintains examination room and equipment.
  • Completes patient registration, medical record assignment, and visit creation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma is required. Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training is preferred.
  • Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) required Upon Hire. BAT - Breath Alcohol Tech required within 30 days of hire. Non-DOT Drug Screen Collector Certification (Mosaic provided training within first 30 days of employment) required within 30 Days of hire. DOT Drug Screen Collector Certification (Mosaic provided training within first 30 days of employment) required within 30 days of hire. Administration of Post-Offer Employment Testing Certification (POET). (Mosaic provided training within first 30 days of employment) required within 30 Days of hire. Administration of Fit-for-Duty Employment Testing Certification (FFD). (Mosaic provided training within first 30 days of employment) required within 30 Days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Physician’s office or healthcare setting preferred. Computer data entry, customer service, collections and medical record responsibility experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Experience with respirator fit testing, vision screenings, first aid injury management, ergonomics preferred. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and specific occupational health software preferred.
