Summary
  • This position provides cleaning inpatient and non-patient areas, moves furniture, and performs a variety of miscellaneous responsibilities necessary to maintain a sanitary, safe, orderly and attractive environment.
  • This position works under the supervision the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Communicates appropriately, speaks respectfully at all times with patients, families, visitors, physicians and staff, addressing them by name and responds to needs or requests for assistance promptly and courteously.
  • Demonstrates proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as knowledge and proper use of cleaning and disinfecting chemicals.
  • Performs terminal cleaning of discharged patient rooms, following the appropriate cleaning checklist.
  • Performs cleaning of public restrooms, common, and ancillary areas throughout the facility and replenishes housekeeping supplies as assigned.
  • Demonstrates the ability to properly empty waste receptacles, change needle (sharps) containers, and transports regular and bio-hazard waste to appropriate destinations.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. High School Diploma preferred.
  • CPI training for those working in Mental Health required or must obtain within 180 days of hire.
  • Cleaning experience preferred.
