Summary
  • This position Is responsible for direct treatment and patient/family education as directed by the treatment plan developed by a Registered Occupational Therapist. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.
  • This position works under the supervision of Registered Occupational Therapist and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
  • Treats patients using a variety of modalities and procedures under treatment plan formulated by an Occupational Therapist.
  • Provides patient/family education.
  • Documents patient’s response to treatment program, communicating with provider, Occupational Therapist, and other interdisciplinary team members, and entering charges.
  • Participates in staff meetings, family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Participates in continual process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of accredited AOTA approved occupational therapy assistant program.
  • COTA - Cert Occupational Therapy license in State of Missouri. Heartsaver certification required within 90 days.
