About this role

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  1. Load and unload equipment
  2. Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
  3. Level ground for scaffolding
  4. Tend mortar and grout
  5. Lift, unload, move, set, shovel mortar and grout between wheel barrows and buckets
  6. General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris
  7. Place, push, pull and shovel concrete
  8. Vibrate concrete
  9. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  10. All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  1. Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders and power buggy’s
  2. Strong teamwork orientation
  3. Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  4. Detail orientation
  5. Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  1. Two-year apprenticeship may be required
  2. Experience in construction preferred
