Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our Enterprise Technology team as a Mainframe Automation Engineer, in Enterprise Z (Mainframe Computing). Mainframe Computing comprises ISG and Wealth Management (WM) mainframe processing services.  The ISG mainframe is the system on which Morgan Stanley relies for its daily trades processing. WM mainframe is a separate entity under MC supervision. MC unites the teams that support the TAPS and WM mainframe infrastructures, enabling the Firm to leverage their considerable expertise, while benefiting from the substantial synergies created by a unified organization. This is Director position that manages and optimizes technical infrastructure and ensures the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Installation and upgrade of Mainframe Automation products and tools( OPS/MVS + Tivoli SA).
  • Analyze and implement automation requests.
  • Develop new automation procedures for daily/routine tasks.
  • Develop simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions for automation requests> Perform problem determination for automation issues.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • At least 4+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Working knowledge of automation tools - OPSMVS, Tivoli SAo.
  • Experience in message suppression and automation of message response.
  • REXX, CLIST and JCL coding.
  • Incident, Problem and Change Management.
  • Experience in automating multi-image environments.
  • Experience in customizing Status Display Facility.
  • Additional requirements Provide rotating On-call support.
  • Provide off-hour support as necessary.
