Axiom Engineering - Vice President - Software Engineering
Profile Description
We’re seeking someone to join our FRPPE team as a Axiom Engineering Lead, in Finance Technology to lead a Regulatory Disclosures development team responsible for EMEA reporting solutions, with a strong emphasis on AxiomSL and XBRL‑based submissions. This senior role blends hands‑on technical ownership with leadership of a small team, driving delivery across a large and complex regulatory reporting portfolio.
Working closely with Finance stakeholders, project managers, and global technology teams, the Senior Developer will own the full lifecycle of delivery—from business/data analysis and technical design through implementation, testing, release management, and ongoing L3 support. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical capability, and the ability to guide a team in delivering scalable, accurate, and regulatory‑compliant reporting solutions.
About Super Department:
FINANCE Technology (FINTECH) provides innovative solutions for regulatory and financial reporting, general ledger, profit & loss calculations, securities bookkeeping, budgeting & forecasting, and tax filing. The group leverages a state-of-the-art multi-terabyte financial data warehouse as one of its main assets to service the Firm’s Finance division.
The Balance Sheet and Regulatory Group:
The Finance IT BSR Group focuses on developing and maintaining the firm’s financial statements. This involves sourcing the entire firm’s accounting data, storing it in the most efficient manner and providing analytical capabilities that enable Finance Controllers to validate the statements daily and longer timeframes as needed by both internal and external regulatory groups.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

Strong interest in the Finance business with the ability to interpret and analyse data to support team decision-making; familiarity with Accounting concepts preferred.
Demonstrated ability to learn and understand key areas of Finance, including financial products, regulatory requirements, and accounting processes, and to guide team members in these areas.
High sense of ownership and accountability, with the capacity to lead a team and take on broader managerial responsibilities over time.
Effective prioritisation and multitasking skills, ensuring the team meets deadlines and manages competing priorities smoothly.
Enthusiasm for adopting new technologies and helping the team apply them toward enterprise-level data and Finance solutions.
Proven ability to lead and collaborate within a global team environment, fostering a positive, productive, and inclusive team culture.
