Trading Fee Controller Associate

Are you interested in getting insight into controlling Morgan Stanley's trading fees? We are looking for a new colleague to join our Brokerage and Clearing team based in Budapest. You can work closely with external brokers, traders and provide reports to senior management and trading desks. Join us if you are looking for process automation and development opportunities.
Team Profile: The Budapest Trading Fees Controlling team, within the Finance department, is responsible for expense management and control for trading related fees, communication with broker firms, exchange and clearing houses and Morgan Stanley Finance Controller groups. We cover month end closing tasks, variance and trend analysis, GL account reconciliation, invoice reconciliation and payment, and delivering on ad hoc requests from Finance management and Business Units/Trading desks.

You will:

What you'll do in the role
> Create and maintain data visualizations using diverse datasets to drive actionable insights and decision-making
> Automate reporting workflows and assist in transitioning Excel-based reports to Business Intelligence tools (Cognos, Power BI, Tableau)
> Assist in building and maintaining Alteryx workflows that provide clean, ready-to-use data for visualization tools
> Identify inefficiencies in existing Excel-based processes and help implement sustainable automation solutions
> Document solutions and provide training or support to end-users, encouraging broader adoption of automation tools
> Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to understand reporting needs, align on process improvements, and ensure the successful delivery of automation and analytics solutions
> Support project management activities by tracking progress and creating summaries What you'll bring to the role
> Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Finance/Accounting/Business Informatics or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
> Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx or Dataiku, or proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and analysis
> Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI)
> Expertise in Microsoft Office automation, including advanced Excel (VBA), PowerPoint, and Outlook
> Strong organizational skills, balancing various projects while maintaining high attention to detail
> A proactive approach, taking ownership of initiatives and ensuring successful project delivery
> Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to dive deep into complex data
> Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
