We’re looking for someone who knows that compliance isn’t just paperwork — it’s what keeps a plant running safely, cleanly, and without surprises from the authorities.This role matters because it keeps people safe, the operation legal, and the company out of trouble.

The Role

You’ll handle everything related to safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance. That includes keeping legal documentation up to date, managing chemical substances, training employees, walking the plant to spot risks, and supporting incident investigations.In short: you’ll help build a safe and sustainable workplace, not just tick boxes.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and comply with environmental, safety, and hygiene legal requirements.
  • Administer and control chemical substances.
  • Keep all NOM-related documentation updated and in order.
  • Train employees on safety, environmental, hygiene, and health topics.
  • Prepare and submit information to support NOM compliance and internal procedures.
  • Support accident investigation projects requested by corporate.
  • Conduct plant walkthroughs to detect unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Promote a culture of safety and sustainability across the company.

 

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Energy Engineering or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience in environmental, safety, or energy-related roles.
  • Advanced English.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican legal requirements and regulatory processes.
  • Experience dealing with authorities and preparing legal studies.
  • Experience managing environmental operational controls (water, energy, waste, etc.).
  • Organized, clear communicator, and comfortable working with different teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Prior involvement in audits or inspections with authorities.
