Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. is seeking craft plant support in Catawba, SC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Mechanical aptitude to perform equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime.
- Adjust equipment setting to optimize the separation process.
- Dispose of waste materials according to your discretion.
- Able to operate the equipment for disposal of material.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to notice the change in the effluent and material and what to do with that change.
- Able to report on issues or changes throughout the day.
- Knowledge of how valves operate
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
- 1-2 years experience in a related field
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting of items weighting a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairwells up to 15 levels high.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, cage) up to 24’ high.
- Able to walk at a normal pace for up to 15 continuous minutes.
- Able to work from a standing position for 8-12 hours.
- Ability to twist and bend on a recurring basis.
- Weather conditions that can be expected are wet, humid, heat and cold, bright/dim light, traffic, heights, dusts, and pollen.
- The job requires normal visual acuity, field vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception.
- Some environments are in a high noise and vibrating area.
