Moore is a leading Irish provider of accountancy and advisory services for smart, commercially ambitious enterprises seeking the highest standards in client service and expertise. Due to ongoing growth in our tax group, we are currently seeking to recruit a Tax Manager to join our tax team.
With excellent opportunities for career progression this is a position which can be based at any of our office locations including Cork, Galway, Dublin and Dun Laoghaire. The role focuses on providing high-quality tax consultancy services to our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tax consultancy and advisory services to clients across a diverse range of industries.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients.
- Prepare and present tax planning reports to clients and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with other departments and professional advisors to provide a comprehensive tax consulting service.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
- Train and mentor junior staff members.
- Review and manage the work of junior staff members.
- Manage tax consultancy projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Identify opportunities for new business and contribute to the development of business initiatives.
- Assist in managing the tax department, including work-in-progress, debtors, billings and fee collection.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- A qualified CTA tax professional.
- An accounting qualification is preferable but not essential.
- Strong technical knowledge across several tax heads.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience in the provision of tax consultancy and advisory services.
- A proven track record managing a team of professionals.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication ability.
- Strong ability to delegate, manage and review the work of the tax team and other departments within the firm.
