Moog Wolverhampton is seeking an Associate Process Quality Engineer to support and strengthen quality performance across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for an early-career or developing engineer who is looking to grow into a full Process Quality Engineer position within a world-class aerospace and industrial manufacturing environment.

You will play a key role in controlling manufacturing processes, monitoring quality performance, and supporting new product introduction (NPI), while working closely with Process Quality Engineers, Inspectors, Operations, and Engineering teams. Your work will directly contribute to Moog’s commitment to zero defects, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • As an Associate Process Quality Engineer, you will:
  • Support control of manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality
  • Participate in Engineering Design Reviews, providing quality input on inspectability and producibility
  • Work closely with Operations to identify and resolve manufacturing, fabrication, and quality constraints (RCCA)
  • Monitor, analyse, and report quality issues, including non-conformance, scrap, and rework
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of quality documentation, reports, and procedures
  • Review inspection fixtures for inspection feasibility and assist in design/development
  • Plan & Coordinate MSA studies
  • Support development of process capability reporting and lineside inspection methods
  • Support new technology decisions and advance inspection techniques to support future production needs
  • Contribute to Lean and Continuous Improvement activities across the site
  • Help drive a zero-defect culture within Manufacturing and Assembly & Test

What You’ll Bring

  • We’re looking for a motivated engineer with a passion for quality and manufacturing excellence. Ideally, you will have:
  • Exposure to aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of quality standards and systems such as:
  • AS9100 and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, CAA, etc.)
  • APQP / PPAP
  • Have a good understanding of the AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAIR) processes and documentation
  • Have extensive knowledge of manual inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, wax impressions) and automated inspection systems (CMM, vision systems)
  • Non-conformance and corrective action processes
  • Understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5 or latest)
  • Awareness of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging) and special processes (heat treatment, welding, NDT, plating, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
