CT Technologist

Job Summary
Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using prescribed ionizing radiation. The technologist works independently, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to departmental protocols.

Essential Duties

  • Prepare and position patients for CT examinations
  • Enter and verify patient data in Epic
  • Select appropriate CT protocols and obtain diagnostic-quality images
  • Assist with CT-guided procedures and operate contrast injectors as needed
  • Place IV lines and prepares contrast
  • Process, label, and present images for radiologist interpretation
  • Maintain accurate procedural documentation
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of CT work areas
  • Train students or staff as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (CT preferred/required per policy)
  • Experience with CT systems and Epic preferred
  • Must meet Occupational Health requirements
