The Grant Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of externally funded programs within a healthcare setting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, multidisciplinary, and comprehensive care for individuals and families. The Grant Administrator leads programmatic activities, ensures compliance with federal and state grant requirements, and supports the integration of clinical, administrative, and community-based services.
This position oversees operational, financial, and reporting functions related to grant-funded programs and collaborates closely with clinical leadership, finance, compliance, and external partners to support program success and sustainability.
Coordinate and monitor compliance with all grant requirements, including data entry, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
Manage grant budgets, track expenditures, and oversee provider productivity related to grant-funded services
Lead program development initiatives and support the expansion of services aligned with grant objectives
Secure and manage research and service grants in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Serve as a liaison to federal, state, and local government agencies, funding bodies, and regulatory entities
Oversee daily program operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
Supervise staff providing psychosocial support to patients and families, including counseling, resource navigation, and assistance with insurance and financial matters
Collaborate with hospital finance, grants management, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence
Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure ongoing regulatory and funding compliance
Liaise with national and regional networks, advocacy organizations, and patient foundations
Support community outreach and education efforts, as well as staff training, to promote excellence in patient care
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field (required)
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of grant administration experience in a healthcare environment (required)
