We're looking for a Database Administrator to join our rapidly growing DBRE team. This is an amazing opportunity to join a fast growing company and make an immediate and real impact on the future of our product. The DBRE team is responsible for the hundreds of production (and pre-production) database environments that run monday.com. It’s a high-scale environment with systems running hundreds of thousands of queries per second, and it grows all the time.


About The Role

  • Be responsible for the reliability of the databases, making sure they run smoothly while providing the required performance and scale.
  • Take part in the team’s projects including building automations for complex scenarios, automating observability, and introducing new technologies to the company.
  • Support our developers when designing new features and migrating data.
  • Build robust scripts and solutions to allow DB self management by developers
  • Use and develop change management solutions using Terraform and other tools
  • As data is at the core of the product, you will have a direct impact on the manageability, availability and performance of monday.com
  • You will be working with a small team of experienced and highly talented engineers with cutting edge technologies while taking full responsibility and ownership from conception to post-deployment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


The team’s stack - MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Redis, and we are also using AWS, Go, Python, Kubernetes, Linux, Node.js


Requirements

  • Proven working experience and deep understanding of RDBMS (MySQL / PostgreSQL/ Oracle / SQL Server / etc).
  • Experience of at least 5+ years with performance optimization and scaling out data worldwide.
  • Coding experience and understanding of code and software environment.
  • Experience and understanding of cloud environments and tools.
  • Experience in leading projects, POCing different technologies and rolling out new solutions to the production environment.
  • Great skills of seeing a big picture and system architecture planning.
  • Team player, egoless, strong communication skills, and empathy.
  • Degree in Computer Science (not a must; we're always looking for super talented people).
  • Advantage: working with NoSQL databases like Elasticsearch and Cassandra.


Salary & Compensation


At monday.com, our total compensation package includes:


  • Base salary
  • Bonus target
  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)


The total target monthly compensation for this role ranges from 40,000 PLN to 59,000 PLN.


The total compensation package shown here reflects the current monday.com stock price and may change over time as the stock price varies. The target bonus and RSU grant are discretionary, depend on individual and company performance, and are subject to Board approval and the company’s equity plan, in line with monday.com’s bonus policy as updated from time to time.
