The Role: Retail Operations Intern

 

At Stone Island, we are always looking for curious and committed individuals who can embrace our vision and contribute to our evolution. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Retail Operations Intern to join the Global Retail Operations Team at our HQ.

As a Retail Operations Intern, you will support the team in the coordination of key cross-functional projects: from the rollout of new operational systems to the development of innovative digital tools for our stores. You will also be involved in analyzing traffic counter data, helping refine store procedures and guidelines, and providing day-to-day operational support to retail stores across different regions.

 

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in retail operations, a structured mindset, and a genuine drive to learn how a global retail network runs behind the scenes. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to grow within a dynamic environment and gain concrete experience at the heart of the retail world.

 


Your Impact

  • Project Support: Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and feedback collection from stores.
  • Data Monitoring & Analysis: Regularly monitor and analysis of traffic counter data. Report on key metrics to optimize store operations.
  • Procedure & Guidelines Documentation: Assist in drafting, updating, and maintaining operational procedures and store guidelines, ensuring consistency and alignment across global retail operations.
  • Store Support: Conduct store visits to provide on-the-ground support, troubleshoot any operational issues, and gather feedback on the new systems and processes being implemented.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including IT, stores, etc. to ensure smooth project execution and continuous improvement in store operations.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Provide support on any other operational needs or projects as required by the team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master's degree in Economics, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Fluency in english, additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong interest in Retail Operations, Technology Systems, and Data Analysis.
  • Excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail, clear communication, and confidence in handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with retail systems or data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience in similar roles is considered a plus.
