We are currently looking for someone that will be responsible for defining, curating, and managing assortments across the network with the main focus in the DOS. The Retail Merchandising Managers, North America ensures that seasonal collections are translated into store and cluster assortments that reflect brand image, client needs, and commercial goals. Partnering closely with Planning & Allocation, Collection Merchandising, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Management, the role drives sales opportunities while ensuring consistent brand positioning and alignment.


Your Impact

Seasonal Buying:

  • Manage seasonal buying sessions in Milan for the region, ensuring alignment with global merchandising and product strategies.
  • Own and manage seasonal OTB forecasting for North America, in close partnership with the regional President, Retail Director, and HQ Planning & Allocation teams.
  • Full in-depth analysis of seasonal performance and learnings from previous seasons in order to inform and drive appropriate seasonal merchandising strategies.
  • Develop store and cluster assortments in line with OTB, tailored to client profiles, store capacity, and regional nuances.
  • Balance fashion innovation with commercial drivers to maximize productivity across categories.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to translate assortment priorities into impactful floor sets and launch presentations. 

In-Season Management:

  • Monitor weekly sales performance (by store, category, SKU); identify bestsellers and underperformers and implement corrective actions.
  • Proactively recommend commercial initiatives to retail partners to sustain business momentum.
  • Oversee stock consolidations and rebalancing with Allocation to maximize sales, sell-through and inventory efficiency.
  • Ensure assortments remain aligned with brand strategy while addressing local market opportunities.
  • Build assortments, update booklets, and track deliveries for new store openings.
  • Partner with Retail and Store Management to support special events, VIC appointments, pop-ups, and trunk shows.
  • Work with VM to ensure store is in line with Global directives while balancing commercial needs of the business and product performance.
  • Lead end-of-season activities including performance analysis, markdown recommendations, stock returns, and post-season commercial learnings.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

  • Collaborate with Retail Management to deliver assortments and messaging that drive store KPIs.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising to align product displays with strategic priorities and launches.
  • Provide Global Merchandising and Product teams with feedback on regional performance, client insights, and assortment needs.
  • Partner with Retail, Training, and CRM teams to define seasonal product knowledge priorities and develop tools and materials that support store execution, client engagement, and selling effectiveness.

Reporting & Insights:

  • Prepare selling recaps and qualitative feedback for leadership and global merchandising teams.
  • Deliver clear, action-oriented reports that highlight key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends to ensure assortments remain relevant.
  • Develop product presentations and materials to support store teams.
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal training content by translating assortment strategies, key product stories, and commercial priorities into clear and actionable guidance for store teams.

Qualifications

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, fashion merchandising, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of retail merchandising or buying experience, preferably within luxury or premium RTW environments.

Special Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Strong merchandising acumen with ability to balance brand DNA and commercial objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of luxury retail, men’s categories, and accessories.
  • Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills (Index Match, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for luxury fashion, product, and client experience.
  • Proven expertise in seasonal buying, in-store assortment building, and in-season trading.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

For individuals hired to work in New York, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. Compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including business needs, skills, experience, education, training, and certifications. The current estimated base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000.

 

In addition to competitive compensation, this position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; short- and long-term disability; paid parental leave; 11 paid holidays; up to 120 hours of accrued vacation; two personal days; employee discounts; and a retirement plan with employer contribution.

 

This position requires four (4) days per week on-site at the Stone Island Corporate Office, located in the heart of SoHo, Manhattan.
