Are you looking for an interesting role in Oncology Clinical Trials?

Combine your Nursing / Science knowledge and experience into research and care of the cancer patient  We have openings for both full time and part time Research Nurse / Study Coordinators in our teams. The roles are both patient facing as well as administrative and requires you,  as part of a team to coordinate and manage a number of clinical  trials with many opportunities to learn and develop your skills and knowledge in this rewarding area of healthcare.

 

About the Role

Join our team as an Oncology Research Nurse / Study Coordinator on a Full Time / Part Time (hours/days), fixed term (12 months with review to extension), to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton. The Oncology Clinical Trials department works mainly out of Monash Medical Centre and utilizes the facilities of the Monash Health Translation Precinct - a purpose built state of the art clinical trials unit. The oncology team is divided into 6 medical streams - Lung, GI, GU, Breast, Early Phase and Gynae and an operations team. At any one time we approximately,   conduct 200 trials at various stages of development. The Research Nurse / Study Coordinator plays  a pivotal role in the patients cancer journey and as part of the team support both the Team Lead, and investigators in the safe conduct of new and exciting clinical trials offering the cancer patient,  the opportunity to receive the most up to date Cancer Treatment, whilst participating in the advancement of clinical research. The Research Nurse / Study Coordinators role is an eclectic one solely to give the successful candidate a broad understanding of the conduct and management of clinical trials.

 

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency 
  • Nursing / Science tertiary education
  • Healthcare experience
  • Clinical Trial / Research experience a bonus but not required
