Our Journey
In January 2024 Monash Children’s Hospital opened a brand new Early Parenting Centre (EPC) in Casey, providing specialist support for Victorian families with children from birth to four years of age. The centre will deliver flexible, targeted services that aim to enhance the parent-child relationship and will support parents with strategies to achieve their parenting goals in areas such as sleep and settling, child behaviour and parent and child health and wellbeing. The EPC provides the following core services to Victorian families:
Residential services – 24-hour multi-day centre-based intensive early parenting programs
Day-stay service – centre-based day programs provided at EPCs or at outreach locations
Community visits– follow on service from day stay or residential and occasionally in place of a day stay program if appropriate.
Telehealth and web-based services as a stand-alone or complementary modality.
The centre at Casey houses 4 day stay beds along with 10 overnight beds and is supported by a wide multidisciplinary team striving for positive outcomes for Victorian families.
