Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Operating Room Manager or designee, work is performed in conjunction with anesthesiologists and CRNAs, in accordance with established hospital standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, established regulatory and accreditation requirements and the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital and nursing department.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Assists in maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies
• Provides assistance in routine anesthesia procedures
• Assists with room turnover
• Cleans disinfects and sterilizes anesthesia equipment between cases
• Performs tests and troubleshoots problems with equipment/supplies per protocol
• Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of work in a related healthcare setting

Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:

• Current BCLS certification

PREFERRED:

• American Society of Anesthesia Technician Certification desired
