MTSI is seeking to hire an experienced Battle Management Systems Engineer to support our Space Based Interceptor program in Huntsville, Alabama. Contract Overview: Golden Dome is a national-level, whole-of-nation initiative in which you will play a critical role in advancing next-generation homeland defense capabilities. Key Responsibilities System Development & Integration: Design, develop, and integrate BMC3 solutions for space-based missile interceptors, ensuring seamless interoperability with existing missile defense systems. Requirements Development: Define, analyze, and manage system-level requirements for the SBI battle management systems in alignment with operational needs and stakeholder objectives. Algorithm Development: Develop and implement advanced algorithms for threat detection, tracking, engagement coordination, and mission planning. Modeling & Simulation: Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis to assess system capabilities and optimize performance under diverse mission conditions. Technical Leadership: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and program managers, to ensure successful development and deployment of systems. System Testing & Validation: Conduct system-level testing and validation to ensure adherence to requirements and operational readiness for deployment. Cybersecurity Assurance: Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity mandates for mission-critical systems, including security controls and risk mitigation strategies. Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and system architecture artifacts. Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, prime contractors, and subcontractors, to provide technical updates and support program objectives. Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 15 years’ related experience; Master’s degree preferred. Required Security Clearance: Must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility 5 years’ prior experience for access to Special Access Program Information (SAP), or Controlled Access Program (CAP); must have 1 year in the last 5 years. Technical Expertise: Experience in systems engineering or battle management system development. Experience with missile defense systems, space systems, or related DoD programs Proficiency in systems engineering processes, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing. Knowledge of BMC3 systems architecture and concepts in missile defense. Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or other similar platforms. Experience with software development in C++, Python, or Java is desirable. Understanding of space-based sensors and orbital mechanics is a plus. #LI-AT1
