Job DetailsJob Location: Charlotte, NC 28208Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 HourlyFuel Farm Technician The Company  Modern Aviation (the “Company”) is a private equity backed; platform company launched in 2018 that is focused on the fixed-based operator (“FBO”) sector. The Company has been rapidly growing through the acquisition of FBO locations and has significant additional committed capital from its sponsors to continue to grow the business through future acquisitions. Modern Aviation’s strategy is to acquire attractive locations and increase EBITDA at these locations through investment and operational and commercial improvements.   Primary Purpose of the Position  The Fuel Farm Technician (FFT) attends to all service needs as they relate to product inventory tracking, product ordering, product receiving, and product quality control standards. While a FFT’s main job duties are focused upon the technical services related to product inventory management (tracking, ordering, receiving, quality control, etc.), exceptional mathematical and time management skills are vital for the successful completion of this role. The FFT ensures that adequate product inventories are maintained/received while abiding by the highest quality control standards.   Essential Functions: Works under general supervision of the Fuel Farm Technician and performs daily/weekly/monthly general and QC inspections on Fuel Farm, Fuel Trucks and GSE fueling cart including checking all fluid levels, tire pressures, general conditions and logging hour meters and mileage. Take fuel product samples and have proficient knowledge of fuel sample evaluations. Must be able to fill out corresponding ATA paperwork, UpKeep work orders and X1 information. Demonstrates sufficient knowledge in reviewing Certificate of Analysis, Bill of Lading and fuel release paperwork Perform water detection field tests Can receive and order JET A and AVGAS loads Performs daily and weekly checks on waste and FSii barrels Completes a weekly checklist to ensure proper placement of barrels Schedules and executes waste barrel pick-ups in accordance with state EPA regulations Able to communicate concisely with co-workers, drivers, and dispatchers in order to place fuel orders QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age Strong verbal and written communication skills  Exceptional mathematical skills  Valid Driver’s License for 3 years with less then 6 points  Physically able to stand or walk for long periods of time Preferred Qualifications: Previous customer service experience preferred. Basic knowledge of various aircraft types and servicing a plus. Reports to: Operations Manager Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Travel: This position requires minimal travel. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. May be required to work nights and weekends. Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
