Senior/HRIS Specialist (Workday) – Malaysia

Overview

  • Join our team as an HRIS Specialist to support and optimize Workday HCM (Core HR) and Absence post-implementation, drive stabilization, and lead expansion across new locations. Partner with Global HRIS, IT, and regional HR to deliver scalable, high-quality HR tech.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as Workday SME for Core HR & Absence: configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting.
  • Lead post–go-live stabilization: defect triage, root-cause analysis, regression testing, release management.
  • Optimize business processes, security, validations, and absence plans aligned to global design/local compliance.
  • Support country rollouts: fit-gap, configuration, SIT/UAT, cutover, hypercare; ensure consistent design/docs.
  • Govern data models, org structures, and absence setup; drive audits, reconciliations, and data quality SLAs.
  • Manage stakeholders and vendors (incl. AMS/Workday) for issues, enhancements, and roadmap alignment.
  • Serve as primary contact for Malaysia/APAC Workday queries.
  • Create and deliver training, job aids, and knowledge base content; champion change and adoption.

What You Bring

  • 6–8+ years HRIS experience with strong hands-on Workday:
    • Must-have: Core HR, Absence, Business Processes
    • Plus: Security, Reporting, EIBs
  • Track record in post-implementation support and country rollouts as SME.
  • Experience in regional/global HRIS environments and cross-functional partnership.
  • Strong HR domain knowledge across the employee lifecycle and absence policies.
  • Implementation methodology, testing, and release management expertise.
  • Analytical skills: Microsoft 365, advanced Excel, Power BI; Workday reporting preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Based in Malaysia; comfortable supporting regional/global time zones.

  • Workday certifications (HCM/Absence).

About MODEC
