The General Manager is accountable for the overall performance of the branch/regional area, with full ownership of operations execution, financial results, customer satisfaction, and team development. This role serves as the senior operational leader for the market, ensuring that projects and service contracts are delivered safely, profitably, and in alignment with customer expectations and company standards. 

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational judgment, financial discipline, and the ability to coach and develop teams while scaling the business.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Own the day-to-day performance of the branch, leading project execution, service delivery, labor planning, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
  • Be accountable for job profitability by managing estimated vs. actual costs, margins, forecasting, and clean, timely job close-out.
  • Evaluate and qualify bookings and backlog to ensure work is executable, properly scoped, and aligned with branch capacity.
  • Own branch financial results, including gross margin, labor efficiency, cost controls, invoicing, and collections.
  • Partner closely with Sales and leadership to drive profitable growth while balancing execution risk and operational readiness.
  • Take full ownership of customer satisfaction, serving as the escalation point for key accounts and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing operations teams by coaching leaders, strengthening accountability, and developing future talent.
  • Set and reinforce expectations around safety, compliance, and operational discipline.
  • Continuously improve how the branch operates by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, scalability, and performance.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

 

  • Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, service, project management, or field leadership
    • Prior responsibility for supervising projects, teams, and budgets
    • Experience managing branch or regional operations with P&L accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including cost control, margin analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proven leadership orientation with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management tools.

Preferred 

  • Experience in one or more of the following industries:
    • Electronic security
    • Fire alarm & life safety
    • Building automation
    • Healthcare security environments

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
