About this role

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Indirect Procurement Specialist role supports both indirect category sourcing and the transformation of procurement systems across our U.S. operations. The role serves as a bridge between Indirect Sourcing and Systems & Strategy, ensuring that both plant and corporate teams can efficiently source and purchase through our digital platforms (Coupa and D365). The ideal candidate brings strong procurement execution skills and a data-driven approach to drive adoption, efficiency, and compliance throughout the source-to-pay process. This position does not oversee direct material costs.  Instead, it focuses on services, indirect goods, and plant support categories, while advancing system utilization and continuous improvement across the procurement function.

Essential Functions:

  • Indirect Purchasing Support: Collaborate with plant and functional stakeholders to define requirements, facilitate sourcing events, and manage purchasing for indirect and service categories.
  • Supplier Engagement: Oversee supplier onboarding, maintain supplier records, and support performance tracking and relationship management.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, competitive bidding standards, and contract documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify process gaps and work with the Systems & Strategy team to enhance P2P processes, reporting, and automation.
  • Systems Enablement: Drive user adoption of Coupa and D365 by training users, resolving issues, and ensuring transactions follow standard workflows.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Support KPI tracking, spend visibility dashboards, and maintain data integrity within procurement systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Act as a liaison among business users, IT, and suppliers to identify and implement system or process enhancements.
  • Sourcing Support: Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and ensure alignment with competitive sourcing standards.
  • Perform other duties assigned that support the overall success of the team, department, or organization. This may include participating in cross-functional initiatives, contributing to process improvements, or assisting with special projects as needed.
  • This list is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed. This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities required for this role.
  • Regular, predictable, in-person attendance on the business days the Company requires in-person attendance at this facility.  (In-person attendance is optional on the other workdays.)  For non-required-in-person attendance days, employees are expected to be present and engaged during the designated work hours for this role.

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience with procurement systems (Coupa, D365, Ariba, Jaggaer, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of Procurement best practices and market trends.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, connecting data, process, and behavioral change.
  • Familiarity with vendor master data governance and procurement policy frameworks, preferred.

Education/Experience/Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or P2P systems roles (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of indirect procurement categories (e.g., services, MRO, logistics, IT, marketing).
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or system rollouts in Procurement or Supply Chain is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Ability to remain seated at a workstation for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
  • Ability to view computer screens and read printed materials for prolonged periods.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching within the office environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies or equipment weighing up to 10–15 lbs.
  • Adequate hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and via phone/video.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $82,400 to $107,000.

Compensation is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Short-Term Incentive and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package.

A full range of medical, dental, vision, 401K plus up-to-four percent (4%) match, profit sharing, wellness program, paid parental leave, long-term-care insurance, critical accident insurance, short- and long-term disability and education assistance are also available.
