Role Overview

The Service Engineering Technical Project Manager serves as the focal point for all technical items for assigned units, including forecasting outage scopes, tracking modification implementation, and leading investigations and root cause analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as core team member with the Program Service Manager and PMO.
  • Be internal and external technical point of contact for assigned units.
  • Manage technical risks including probability and impact assessments.
  • Support configuration planning and management.
  • Provide technical support for sales and commercial operations.
  • Define outage scope per the outage planning battle rhythm (PBR).
  • Provide onsite and remote support for outage execution.
  • Define technical work scopes for planned and emergent outages.
  • Maintain applicability states for modifications in configuration tools.
  • Coordinate GTSE, RMC, TOMONI, and lead center support.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and plan onsite actions.
  • Review parts pedigree and NCRs.
  • Develop process improvements based on investigation findings.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • At least 8 years of experience in rotating equipment design/service or combined cycle operations
  • 5+ years of complex root cause analysis experience (8D, Fishbone, Fault Tree). Six Sigma a plus.
  • Strong commercial awareness, communication, reasoning, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently under pressure.
