Our Ghent, KY facility is currently seeking to fill a 1st shift QC Inspection position.

 

$5000 retention bonus!

 

Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.

 

Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience.

Requirements –

  • Current, valid driver license   
  • Completion of Industrial Mechanic course, or equivalent certification
  • Preferred knowledge of ISO 9001 and successful application of the Quality Management System
  • Intermediate user of MS Office Suite applications
  • Intermediate proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, optical levels)
  • Intermediate proficiency in mechanical drawing interpretation
  • Basic proficiency in raw materials, hardness testing techniques, quality documentation and non-conformance reporting


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct incoming inspections on machined parts per print, raw materials, and semi-finished products for compliance with technical documentation and quality standards.
  • Perform dimensional and hardness inspections per print using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Analyze test reports, certificates, and documentation to verify conformity.
  • Approve or reject materials based on inspection results and issue formal inspection reports.
  • Maintain proper Quality Numbering, storage, and care of tools, equipment per the Quality tool calibration list.
  • Prepare inspection documentation for in-house manufactured or repaired products.
  • Generate and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for products that fail to meet standards.
  • Comply with all quality, environmental, health, and safety procedures as per Primetals and client requirements.
  • Support other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Preform final quality inspection on outgoing equipment per traveler and work instructions noting any defects for written report and correction before shipping to customer.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Frequent: Walking, standing, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying of twenty (20) lbs or less.

 

Occasional: Climbing, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying of fifty (50) – thirty (30) lbs.
