Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power is hiring a Metal Finisher/Blender (Off Shift) in the Orlando Service Center.  The Metal Finisher/Blender will de-burr, buff, blend, clean, grind, mask, and polish components/parts in accordance with company quality and production standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Read, interpret and perform all operations as necessary per drawings and/or work instructions
  • General knowledge of all other shop processes
  • Multi-task in a fast paced manufacturing environment and does so with minimal supervision
  • Perform TPMs on equipment
  • File, sand, deburr / polish parts, and have the ability to perform weld prep
  • Properly operate the bead blaster
  • Perform other such duties as may be required
  • Properly operate the bead blaster

 

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication Skills: Able to read and understand basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Math Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of applying common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine problems involving multiple variables.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic skills in using personal computers and common software applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
