Role Overview

The Manager, SCR / HRSG Site Services provides leadership, technical oversight, and strategic direction for the construction and commissioning activities associated with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generators), and related emission‑control systems on gas turbine projects.

This role oversees site execution teams, ensures compliance with technical and quality standards, and supports safe, efficient, and successful project delivery across Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle, and Co‑Gen installations.

The Manager reports to the Director of Construction Services and collaborates closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide day‑to‑day oversight for all personnel assigned to SCR/HRSG erection and commissioning activities.
  • Review installation and commissioning drawings, specifications, and technical data to ensure accuracy and readiness for execution.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, and Construction disciplines to support seamless site execution.
  • Ensure site work complies with contractual requirements, technical standards, safety codes, and company procedures.
  • Manage site quality processes, including responding to technical queries (TQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and non‑conformance reports.
  • Provide detailed site reporting, including managing Project Action Requests (PARs) and supporting project documentation requirements.
  • Support safe and timely construction and commissioning activities, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Review monthly project plans and schedules to confirm alignment with team capacity and execution needs.
  • Guide and mentor team members to uphold high standards of safety, workmanship, and professional conduct.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, resource optimization, productivity enhancements, and improved construction methods.
  • Support and comply with all EHS requirements; report unsafe activities and champion a strong safety culture.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional TFA (Technical Field Advisor) development and training coordination.
  • Assist with root‑cause analysis investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in EPC projects involving Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, or major industrial construction projects (upstream or downstream).
  • Extensive field experience in power‑plant construction, commissioning, and start‑up.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Proficiency with project management systems, technical documentation tools, and standard MS Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of construction and commissioning processes, safety standards, industry codes, and quality requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred

  • OSHA 10 training (recommended but not required).
  • Experience working with EPC partners and multi‑disciplinary field teams.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, and move through active construction sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise environments; hearing protection may be required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, domestically and internationally.
