Our Ghent, KY facility is currently seeking to fill a 1st shift Maintenance Repair position.

 

Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.

 

Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience.


Requirements -

  • Current, valid driver license   
  • Preferred candidates will possess previous industrial/mechanical maintenance experience


The maintenance repair technician is responsible for the upkeep of machines, mechanical equipment and buildings including the following

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Improves plant productivity and ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance of production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshooting and repairs machines, equipment and vehicles as necessary.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools.
  • Responsible for the sourcing of parts and equipment needed to repair or improve existing buildings, vehicles and machines.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Supports repair activities on customer machines or equipment, adjusting priorities based on direction and needs defined by local management.
