MHIRJ is the world’s largest regional aircraft support network, and we’re looking for a highly analytical Long-Range Maintenance Forecasting Planner to support the strategic planning of material requirements, workforce capacity, and maintenance timelines across our MRO network. In this role, you will be responsible for developing accurate, data‑driven forecasts that ensure our supply chain, operations, and maintenance teams have the right resources at the right time. Your work directly enables on‑time maintenance execution, supports contractual obligations, and strengthens long‑term operational readiness.

This is an on-site position with no remote or hybrid options.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Develop and maintain longrange maintenance forecasts for materials, skilled labor, and span times (6–36 months).
  • Use forecasting software, planning tools, and historical data to predict future maintenance demand and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to align longlead material procurement, rotable component planning, and parts availability with projected maintenance events.
  • Work with workforce planning teams to forecast technician labor requirements, certifications, and capacity constraints.
  • Analyze maintenance performance data to refine planning assumptions for different fleets, check types, and customer programs.
  • Provide forecast inputs for annual budgeting, operations planning, and capacity alignment.
  • Track forecast accuracy, adjust models based on actual results, and present variance analyses with rootcause insights.
  • Support the development of digital forecasting tools, dashboards, and process improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy.
  • Adhere to all MHIRJ general work requirements and perform other duties as assigned..

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, planning, or project coordination in a heavy industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with databases and maintenance planning systems.
  • Ability to interpret data, communicate plans clearly, and collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Associate degree in a related field.
  • Experience with line and base maintenance forecasting.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety standards and FAA/EASA maintenance requirements.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI).
  • Project Management or Six Sigma certification. Commitment to data accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of aviation maintenance or MRO processes.
