CMA:

  • This person provides support in the medical field by performing various medical and clerical activities to assure quality care and a more efficient work place.

LPN

  • LPN is a nursing position that serves as a resource nurse, provides patient care and is a patient advocate.

RN

  • The Clinic Registered Nurse is responsible for managing nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patient's health and wellness within their scope of practice. The Clinic Registered Nurse will direct and support nursing/clinical personnel providing patient care within the facility as assigned by the Clinic Director or RN Supervisor. This includes the evaluation, revision, and implementation of clinical policies and procedures related to the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care; maintenance of clinical staff personnel and education records; in-services and performs Clinical Staff functions.

 

The Shift: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) (40 hours per week)

Hours: Works Monday through Saturday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay:

  • CMA starts at 19.61, increases with experience.
  • LPN starts at 21.79, increases with experience.
  • RN starts at $25.63, increases with experience.

 

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • CMA
    • Education:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required.
      • Graduate of an approved school for medical assistants.
      • Certification as a medical assistant is required. (CMA, RMA, NCMA)
    • Experience:
      • A minimum of six months work experience in a health care facility performing duties relating to patient care is preferred.
      • Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred.
    • Special Skills & Aptitudes:
      • Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers.
      • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
      • Basic computer and telephone skills
      • Flexibility and adaptability.
      • A sense of the importance of the medical assistant's role as a patient advocate.
      • Willingness to be accountable/responsible for own actions.
      • Must demonstrate competence in BLS within six months in position by obtaining certification.
      • Must possess a current Iowa department of Public Health Permit to practice in radiology (if applicable).
  • LPN
    • Education:
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
      • A current Iowa License as an LPN is required.
    • Experience:
      • Six months previous clinic nursing experience preferred.
      • Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred.
    • Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes:
      • Strong communication skills with ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers.
      • Organizational skills, with attention to detail, including time management and workflow.
      • Flexibility and adaptability.
      • Basic computer and telephone skills.
      • Willingness to accept, responsibility and accountability for own actions.
      • A sense of importance of the nurse's role as a patient advocate.
      • Must demonstrate competence in BLS certification within six months in position by obtaining certification.
  • RN
    • Education:
      • Graduate of an accredited program in professional nursing.
      • Current R.N. licensure in the State of Iowa.
      • ACLS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
      • PALS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
    • Experience:
      • Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred.
    • Special Skills & Aptitudes:
      • Verbal and written communication skills.
      • Demonstrates knowledge and support for the principles of customer relations in daily activities with others.
      • Maintains certification in BLS/CPR.
      • Completes Mandatory Reporting requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
      • Develops competency to provide care within the assigned unit to the population described in the scope of care.
      • Must have basic computer skills.

Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.
