As the Brand Lead, you will oversee the marketing strategy, launch planning, and market preparation to ensure the successful introduction of Brelovitug in the US first and then guide strategies for subsequent global markets. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a strong background in brand management within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. This role will be the US Brand Lead at launch. To be successful this individual will have an understanding of, and experience in, the rare and/or specialty disease space with the ability to work cross functionally to understand evolving dynamics across markets around the world and synthesize these market dynamics into an aligned strategic plan in order to optimize the products ability to help patients around the world.</p> <p><strong>JOB FUNCTIONS</strong></p> <p><strong>Strategic Brand Leadership:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead development of best-in-class cross functional Global Brand Strategy for Brelovitug, inclusive of market development, disease education, brand/launch plan, and tactical plans, to meet and exceed corporate objectives</li> <li>Shape and communicate the brand’s value proposition, key messaging, and positioning across diverse geographies</li> <li>Work closely with key stakeholders, including commercial, regulatory, medical affairs, and R&amp;D teams, to ensure integrated and cohesive execution of the launch/brand plan</li> </ul> <p><strong>Market Preparation &amp; Launch Planning:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute global launch strategies and US operational plans for Brelovitug, ensuring optimal market access and successful product introduction</li> <li>Lead cross-functional teams in market assessment, competitive intelligence, and business planning for Brelovitug</li> <li>Prepare global markets by partnering with regional leadership to identify key markets for initial launch and creating tailored strategies for each market's unique needs and regulations</li> <li>Coordinate global market preparation activities, including training, market research, and stakeholder engagement</li> </ul> <p><strong>Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the cross functional Global Launch Readiness process</li> <li>Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure the successful execution of the global brand strategy</li> <li>Provide commercial insights and strategies to the cross functional product teams to optimize product potential across the life-cycle</li> <li>Drive alignment across geographies and key regions, ensuring the consistency and adaptability of the brand plan</li> </ul> <p><strong>Market Access &amp; Stakeholder Engagement:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders to support the brand’s strategic objectives</li> <li>Ensure that pricing, market access, and reimbursement strategies are aligned with the launch and market preparation efforts</li> <li>Drive the creation and implementation of communication strategies to raise awareness and understanding of Brelovitug in the medical community</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial Stewardship:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop the marketing budget for Brelovitug, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support key marketing and launch initiatives</li> <li>Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of brand initiatives and make adjustments as needed to achieve business objectives</li> </ul> <p><strong>Global Brand &amp; Market Insights:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead market research and competitive intelligence efforts to gather insights and identify trends that will impact the brand and product positioning</li> <li>Provide recommendations on potential adjustments to the brand strategy based on market dynamics and feedback</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compliance and Governance:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all brand-related activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards</li> <li>Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to brand activities</li> </ul> <p><strong>KEY QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <p><strong>Education/Experience: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred</li> <li>Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on global brand management, product launch, and market preparation.</li> <li>Launch experience</li> <li>Rare/ultra-rare, patient-centric commercial experience desired. Liver experience is a plus. Market development experience in un-commercialized markets, including supporting patient identification efforts, is a plus</li> <li>Strong knowledge of the drug development and commercialization process, including regulatory, medical, and market access considerations</li> <li>Experience leading cross-functional teams and working in a matrixed environment</li> <li>Deep understanding of global healthcare systems, market access strategies, and reimbursement models</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills and Abilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Exceptional leadership and communication skills</li> <li>Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution</li> <li>Self-motivated and self-directed team player with ability to succeed in highly entrepreneurial and nimble small company environment</li> <li>Flexible, adaptable, diplomatic, and able to effectively deal with ambiguity</li> <li>Integrative decision-making and ability to prioritize, considering alternatives and trade-offs based on logical assumptions, available resources, constraints and organizational values</li> <li>Strong business acumen with solid scientific knowledge</li> <li>Strong ability to drive influence across stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts and ensure flawless execution</li> <li>Proven teamwork and collaboration skills</li> </ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $285,000 to $310,000 USD. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to; skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location. Mirum has three approved medications: LIVMARLI® (maralixibat), CHOLBAM® (cholic acid) capsules, and CTEXLI™ (chenodiol) tablets. LIVMARLI, an IBAT inhibitor, is approved for the treatment of two rare liver diseases affecting children and adults. CTEXLI is FDA-approved for the treatment of cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis (CTX) in adults. Mirum's late-stage pipeline includes two investigational treatments for several rare diseases. Volixibat, an IBAT inhibitor, is being evaluated in two potentially registrational studies including the Phase 2 VISTAS study for primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and Phase 2b VANTAGE study for primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Volixibat has been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation for the treatment of cholestatic pruritus in patients with PBC. Mirum is also planning for a Phase 2 study evaluating MRM-3379, a PDE4D inhibitor for the treatment of Fragile X syndrome, a rare genetic neurocognitive disorder.
