Reports to: Coating Supervisor
Cooperates with: Welding, Fabrication, Substrate Assembly, Shipping
Primary Responsibility: Applying wash coat to the catalyst substrate.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply Alumina wash coat to catalyst substrate
- Ensure quality specifications meet compliance standards
- Perform final quality check on each element
- Package element in appropriate container
- Prepare and analyze alumina 100 wash coat, bulk batch and dip tank.
- Demonstrate proper selection/use PPE for coating department
- Proper product staging, storage, and coating preparation for CO product
- First and second wash coat dipping and data input
- Understand and identify product quality specifications
- Material handling and transporting of product Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
- Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
- Prior manufacturing exposure, chemical handling experience, quality control and quality assurance, process blending and mixing experience, ability to operate forklift (preferred, but not required)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift and knowledge of safe workplace practices.
