Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Catering Operations Supervisor to join our Colleague Experience Team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality colleague services and enhancing the overall colleague proposition.

The cafeteria is a critical touchpoint in the colleague journey, and this role is responsible for maintaining high satisfaction levels across multiple locations. You will support the day-to-day management of cafeteria operations, oversee a third-party catering supplier, and ensure excellence in food quality, service delivery, health & safety, and colleague experience.

This role requires a strong F&B and catering operations background, hands-on leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and locations. You will also support and shadow the Catering Manager, with the capability to cover during leave periods.

 

Key Responsibilities

🍽 Catering & Supplier Management

  • Work closely with the third-party catering provider to ensure brand, quality, and service standards are met
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Support event menu planning and catering for internal events
  • Monitor kitchen hygiene and compliance with health regulations

⚙ Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure operations comply with all legal, health, safety, food safety, allergen, and HACCP standards
  • Conduct regular audits of kitchen and service operations
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support KPI tracking

🤝 Customer & Colleague Experience

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and proactively manage feedback
  • Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders to meet or exceed expectations
  • Manage colleague requests, complaints, and escalations professionally

👥 Team Management

  • Lead, train, mentor, and support a team of two coordinators
  • Proactively manage performance and engagement
  • Foster a high-performing, service-driven team culture

📦 Operations Management

  • Ensure timely meal delivery and report delays or shortages
  • Conduct daily taste testing to ensure agreed standards are met
  • Oversee stock levels across locations to avoid shortages
  • Track operational issues and support data reporting

📑 Contract & KPI Support

  • Support contract management and KPI monitoring
  • Maintain awareness of supplier scope, contract terms, and end dates
  • Support billing, invoices, and payment practices when required

💰 Budget & Performance Awareness

  • Demonstrate understanding of budget requirements
  • Support performance management through key metrics and reporting

     

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

  • Proven F&B and catering operations experience
  • Food Safety & Hygiene Level 3 (or higher)
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and allergen procedures
  • IT-literate (catering systems, spreadsheets, scheduling tools)
  • Valid UAE driving license (mandatory)

Experience

  • 4–5 years’ experience in a large-scale or high-volume F&B or catering environment
