The Engineer provides hands-on technical support to the engineering and production teams in a manufacturing facility that assembles metal door frames. This role involves assisting with equipment setup, robot programming and adjustments, plant layout changes, and troubleshooting production line issues to improve efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with plant layout modifications to improve workflow and production efficiency.
Manage and track spare parts inventory for production and maintenance needs.
Prepare and update production work instructions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Perform robot adjustments and debugging for ABB and Yaskawa robotic systems.
Maintain and organize system audit documentation and production-related engineering files.
Monitor and manage engineering parameters to ensure process consistency.
Support the procurement of engineering-related materials, tools, and equipment.
Participate in troubleshooting and debugging production line issues to minimize downtime.
Conduct production line efficiency and problem analysis, recommending improvement actions.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to solve engineering and mechanical problems on the line.
Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the plant.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2 - 8 years of work experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and capable of creating and modifying simple part drawings.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
Hands-on experience with ABB or Yaskawa robots (operation, adjustment, or debugging).
Basic mechanical or engineering knowledge and practical understanding of manufacturing processes.
Forklift driving experience preferred or ability to become certified.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience using a laptop computer for documentation and data analysis.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Monday to Friday: 8 AM to 5 PM
