ISP Support Engineer

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Electronic Engineering/Systems/Computer/Telecommunications
  • Network certifications JNCIA, JNCIS, CCNA, Network Security, ITIL or equivalent
  • Fluent English

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum experience of 2 years in similar areas
  • Proven experience in managing international network operations in a complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and WAN/LAN technologies.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of Telecommunications and Network Management.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS

  • Provide second-level support for network issues, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems, focused on the IP technology
  • Monitor network performance and proactively address potential issues to maintain optimal network functionality.
  • Assist in the configuration and deployment of network devices such as routers, switches, and other network components.
  • Work closely with the network engineering team to implement and support network changes and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and network-related projects.
  • Document network issues, resolutions, and processes to ensure accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Support network security initiatives by monitoring and addressing security vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and network-related projects.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on network-related issues and best practices.
  • Be available "on call" to provide support during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to address urgent network issues.
