About this role
UI Engineer
We are a high-impact and fast-paced infrastructure team looking for a passionate UI Engineer to focus on building and enhancing our next-generation chatbot platform. Our mission is to create products that are not only intuitive but significantly boost the productivity of our users. You'll be responsible for creating intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces that power AI-driven conversations and enable a a wide range of supporting features and plugins. This is a unique opportunity to not only join one of the leading hedge funds in the world, but to provide leadership on the core AI Tool used by every aspect of the business daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement responsive, accessible user interfaces using Typescript and Next.js
Build and maintain scalable front-end architecture
Collaborate with UX designers and backend engineers to create seamless chat experiences
Optimize application performance and loading times
Write and maintain comprehensive end-to-end tests using Playwright
Contribute to technical architecture decisions and best practices
Work within an agile team environment to deliver features on schedule
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in front-end development
Strong proficiency with React and Next.js
Expert knowledge of modern TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Experience with modern CSS practices
Experience with automated testing, particularly Playwright or similar E2E testing frameworks
Strong understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques
Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with state management solutions eg, Zustand, RxJS, MobX
Experience with real-time applications and WebSocket implementations
Previous work on chat interfaces or conversational UI
Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and integration patterns
Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices
Mobile application development with React Native or similar.
