Milacron is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Desktop & PC) to join our team in Ahmedabad, India. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the end-user computing environment using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), now known as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). This role is vital for deploying software, managing patches, and ensuring the security and efficiency of desktop and PC systems across an organization.

Work You’ll Do:

• Create, maintain, and deploy " images" for operating systems like Windows to new desktops and laptops using task sequences.
• Package, test, and distribute software applications to endpoints throughout the enterprise.
• Manage the deployment of security updates and patches for Windows and third-party applications to ensure systems are secure and compliant.
• Manage and monitor endpoint protection and security compliance baselines.
• Run and create custom reports to monitor client health, track asset inventory, and measure deployment success.
• Ensure the overall health and efficient operation of the SCCM/MECM infrastructure, including troubleshooting client-side and server-side
• Use scripting languages like PowerShell or VBScript to automate routine desktop tasks, software deployments, and system configurations.
• Integrate on-premises SCCM with cloud-based solutions like Microsoft Intune for co-management of devices.
• Participate in large-scale infrastructure projects, such as Windows and Office 365 migrations or upgrades.
• Work closely with security, network, and application teams to ensure smooth operations and robust endpoint security.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and knowledge sharing. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years in network administration or engineering, with progressive responsibility.
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Proven experience administering and maintaining a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment.
• Expertise in Operating System Deployment (OSD) using task sequences.
• Strong scripting skills, particularly with PowerShell, for automation.
• Experience with application packaging, deployment, and patch management.
• Familiarity with related technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Windows Server.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and modern management concepts is highly desirable.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management workflows
• English fluency required; additional language skills are a plus
• Ability to work in flexible working hours to support both India and the US time zones
