Manage Information Technology for Iberia's Business Unit to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in line with the organisation's business objectives, and plan, coordinate, direct and design activities related to the Business Units, as well as provide administrative direction and support for the IT department's daily operational activities. The Head of IT will work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organisation.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of the Business Unit's IT strategy in the most effective and efficient manner, including the development of IT products (e.g., collection platforms).
- Responsible for the overall service received by the Business Unit from local IT resources, CCM\Encore shared services, and external partners.
- Manage the IT finances of the business unit, ensuring cost-effective use of expenditure and capital budgets.
- Enable and facilitate Shared Services, building strong links and aligning the Business Unit's IT plans with the group's overall direction and operational technical policies and standards.
- Manage the business unit's technology risk, highlighting challenges where necessary and aligning with group strategy and risk appetite to drive appropriate outcomes.
- Advocate for investments, controls, and enforcement in information security and RD to support the achievement of the agreed risk appetite and in line with agreed information security and BCP strategies.
- Lead IT staff, developing their careers and inspiring them to innovate and excel in service delivery.
- Oversee solutions architecture, design, development, testing, maintenance, application lifecycle management, and the continuous delivery of IT systems and related support processes.
- Planning and execute IT programmes and projects for the business unit in accordance with agreed costs, deadlines and quality standards, through clear definition of requirements and scope management.
- Drive the evolution of agile software engineering practices to maximise productivity and profitability.
- Implement appropriate governance, standards, controls, processes and measurements to ensure that the business unit's IT services are regulatory aware and customer focused.
- Manage key IT suppliers, negotiate appropriate framework and contractual agreements with suppliers, and develop sustainable relationships... either directly or through the relevant Group IT supplier relationship manager.
- Ensure that all activities and operations are conducted in accordance with the regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Responsible for managing IT-related business commitments and business development activities for key service customers.
- Provide the agreed level of services or resources to support Business Unit and group projects.

Person specification:
Formal Education & Certification
- Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
- Desirable Master.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience as an IT manager in a complex organisation with multiple products and business units.
- Extensive experience in developing IT strategies.
- Solid commercial experience, capable of effectively managing an IT function as a business.
- Previous experience working in a matrix management organisational structure and responsibility for services provided by internal and external service partners.
- Extensive experience in change programme management, solution development and application integration.
- Extensive experience in delivering bespoke IT and software products.
- Experience working in European and global working structures.
- Knowledge of information security, BCP, DR and experience in championing these issues across the organisation.
