We are seeking a Senior Manager with a strong foundation in Data Engineering and a passion for building high-performing teams. In this role, you will lead the Enablement Engineering team within the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) organization. Your mission is to empower engineering teams by delivering scalable solutions, frameworks, and tools that accelerate productivity and innovation.

As an Senior Manager in the Enablement Team, you will:

  • Partner closely with other teams in the SMAI to design and implement solutions that streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that standardize processes, reduce variability, and enable rapid deployment of SMAI solutions across global manufacturing operations.
  • Promote the re-usability of data engineering processes and tools to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Champion best practices in data engineering and enablement, ensuring alignment with Micron’s technical standards and long-term vision.

 

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pain points, define requirements, and align on timelines.
  • Drive tactical prioritization by resolving conflicting demands and ensuring team focus aligns with critical business objectives.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and solutions effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Lead and mentor team fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and coaching for professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Cultivate a tier of technical leadership, mentoring managers to drive innovation and embed AI literacy into the core of their management philosophy.
  • Cultivate a culture of distributed ownership, empowering teams to operate with autonomy while maintaining high cohesion and performance standards.
  • Foster an environment of psychological safety, establishing frameworks for constructive conflict resolution and healthy debate.
  • Direct talent development and performance calibration, providing actionable feedback to grow individual contributors and mentor junior managers.

Problem-Solving & Solution Design

  • Understand challenges faced by engineers and design practical, high-quality solutions.
  • Ensure tools and frameworks are user-centric and address real-world operational needs.

Delivery & Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of tools, ensuring timely releases and adherence to quality standards.
  • Implement solutions that minimize technical debt through well-designed architecture and lifecycle management.

 

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree and above in Computer Science or related fields (Information Engineering, Information Management, Data engineering, Applied Mathematics)
  • 8+ years of experience working/leading with Big Data Solutions development
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrating strong performance and proven capability at the Senior Engineer level (E4+) or above.
  • Strong experience of using ETL tools (NiFi, Spark…etc)
  • Strong experience of developing in relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, AlloyDB…etc)
  • Application development skills and proficiency with Python, Java, Base shell, SQL…etc
  • Experience with Cloud services such as GCP, AWS, Snowflake
  • Experience in building and deploying AI-driven and full stack solution
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic AI frameworks
  • A passion for data and information with strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional groups, with diverse interests and requirements, to a common objective
  • Experience creating, measuring, and improving business processes  
  • Strong communication skills, with a track record of significant direct interaction and peer leadership with partners across the company
  • Ability to independently prioritize work from multiple sources, including quick tasks and large-scale project work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and drive for results
  • Good communication skills in English or TOEIC 650 and above
