About Our Team

The DRAM Module Quality team at Micron Technology partners across global engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and customer teams to ensure delivery of high‑quality DRAM module products. Operating in a highly collaborative and multicultural environment, the team drives proactive quality assurance and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Position Overview

As a DRAM Module Quality Engineer, you will lead strategic product quality initiatives for DRAM module products, focusing on issue resolution, risk reduction, and early quality engagement. This role requires strong technical depth in PCB‑level manufacturing, data‑driven decision‑making, and multi-functional leadership across global sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic DRAM module quality projects and long‑term quality programs across global manufacturing and engineering teams.

  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, quality, supplier, and customer teams to define qualification requirements, best known methods, and corrective actions.

  • Drive “shift‑left” quality initiatives to improve product robustness early in the development and qualification process.

  • Participate in Material Review Boards (MRB) and 8‑D task forces to investigate quality events, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor product health indicators using manufacturing, test, and quality data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities, and communicate status to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 10+ years of product quality experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of PCB‑level manufacturing processes and board‑level product quality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for user documentation, analysis, and reporting.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional and globally distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading qualification and quality assurance efforts for board‑level products such as DRAM modules or SSDs.

  • Hands‑on experience with quality event response methodologies including MRB and 8‑D.

  • Strong capability to analyze and interpret complex manufacturing and quality datasets for risk assessment and decision‑making.

  • Detailed success driving multi-functional quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience presenting technical findings, risk assessments, and corrective action plans to senior leadership and collaborators.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$135,000.00 - $296,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
