Job Description:
As a Principal Test Engineer, you will champion comprehensive test methodologies to ensure the highest levels of product quality, reliability, and performance. Partnering with design, and cross-functional teams, you will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of sophisticated test solutions, spearhead defect resolution at scale, and influence product roadmaps to deliver mission-critical solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, and optimize advanced software/hardware test solutions for PIC, AVR, and ARM products.
• Lead collaboration with design, product, and quality teams to define requirements, specifications, and test architectures for next-generation products.
• Perform test program development (program, pattern), debug, program characterization, and Silicon validation
• Develop test methodology to solve new product test requirement
• Perform platform conversion
• Identify and implement value engineering activities to improve test H/W & S/W for cost effectiveness
• Provide tactical engineering support to contract manufacturers
• Participate in test platform consolidation and a company-wide Test capability and equipment roadmaps.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Electronics Engineering or related field, with 8+ years of progressive experience in semiconductor test engineering.
• Proven expertise in advanced testing methodologies, tools (e.g., JTAG, ATE platforms like Teradyne J750, Magnum, Maveric and Diamond) and automation (e.g., Python, C/C++, Perl).
• Deep knowledge of microcontroller architectures (PIC, AVR, ARM) and domains like mixed-signal and power management.
• Exceptional analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis, DFT, and yield enhancement.
• Strong leadership presence, with demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Outstanding communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Passion for innovation in test efficiency and product quality.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
