THE JOB:

Join the Security department as the Security Training Development Partner, where you will create, implement, and oversee all training initiatives to enhance departmental performance, staff development, compliance, and guest service. By leading through example and utilizing all available training tools, you will ensure a professional, efficient operation while providing guidance, leadership, and organization. Your role is vital in fostering a productive and compliant security team, aligning with departmental and property policies to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the execution of training based on the strategic needs of the division.

  • Design training and developmental programs and processes for employee skill enhancement that target individuals as well as groups.

  • Perform cause, knowledge, or gap analyses to help determine appropriate training delivery options.

  • Train, monitor and reinforce standards and training accountability throughout division; ensure division employees are within compliance and are appropriately trained/certified as deemed appropriate for their roles, including providing feedback and ensuring employees sign off for all SOP training, safety compliance, and service standards on an on-going basis, and that employees are fully trained in applicable systems/programs, and have completed company compliance courses, e.g. Code of Conduct, Computer User Agreements, etc.

  • Solicit and analyze feedback to increase effectiveness of training through focus groups, subject matter experts, and other methodologies.

  • Research and develop curriculum that is appropriate to the business needs and advances the effectiveness of the learning function by recommending appropriate methods and tools to address training needs.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Learning Partner and key stakeholders to develop and refine a suite of training materials, including leader guides, participant manuals, and evaluative tools.

  • Act as a consultant to department leaders, ensuring the currency and effective utilization of training resources, and offer expert coaching and guidance on the performance issues, professional development, and the implementation of department training materials.

  • Design new or customize existing corporate training programs and initiatives that align with MGM's service philosophy, support achievement of various industry ratings (e.g. AAA Diamond Award, and Forbes Star ratings), and comply with established safety and regulatory requirements (e.g. OSHA)

  • Partner with Learning & Development and department leaders to create training materials, development initiatives, and formulate onboarding plans and training schedules as well as dissect employee feedback to enhance the onboarding and training experience.

  • Participate in the interviewing process of new employees and make hiring recommendations.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business management, hospitality, related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Has 1+ years of prior relevant experience in training experience or in an instructional design role or related filed

  • Preferred knowledge of Microsoft programs

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is:

$52,900.00 - $70,600.00

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.
