THE JOB

The Maintenance Engineer Apprentice plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of our Engineering team.  In this position, you’ll work alongside experienced Maintenance Engineers, assisting with day-to-day maintenance activities while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic resort environment.  You’ll also provide administrative and technical support as directed by department leadership, making this a great opportunity to learn, grow, and build a career in facilities and engineering.

You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING RATE:  $23.48 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times, including keeping work areas clean and orderly, following OSHA guidelines, understanding emergency procedures, and reporting all guest incidents while coordinating with Security as needed
  • Perform emergency, scheduled, and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of the facility and equipment
  • Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, wallpaper installation, tiling, flooring, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment repair
  • Read and understand blueprints, specifications, circuit diagrams, mechanical drawings, and precision measuring devices related to fixtures, furniture, and equipment
  • Detect faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual conditions and report them promptly to supervision
  • Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and parts to ensure required par levels are met

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in a similar resort setting preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with a working knowledge of blueprints and wiring schematics
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
