Melbourne is Australia’s fastest growing city, and public transport is vital to keeping it moving. Since 2009, Metro has proudly operated and maintained a world-class train service and delivered major transport projects that shape the future of our city. Guided by our value of Safely Always, we are one team dedicated to ensuring everyone gets home safely while helping to connect and create a better Melbourne.
As part of the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), MTM has multiple opportunities for experienced Commercial Managers to support new and ongoing works as part of Victoria’s Big Build. These roles work closely with senior delivery and leadership teams to provide end-to-end commercial oversight across complex, multi-project environments, ensuring strong management of financial, contractual and reputational risk throughout the project lifecycle.
The roles span both development and delivery phases and may involve establishing new work packages, negotiating and managing Target Outturn Costs, and maintaining continuity of commercial oversight as projects transition through delivery, close-out and defect liability periods. Responsibilities include leading commercial governance and accountability, supporting stakeholder negotiations with program leadership and delivery partners, overseeing residual commercial risk, and leading and developing high-performing commercial teams while driving continuous improvement and strong day-to-day contract management.
Please note these roles are fulltime permanent roles based out at Level Crossing offices across Melbourne CBD, Sunshine and Moorabbin offices. We do offer a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
