JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The HR Systems Analyst ensures the stability, efficiency, and user adoption of the College’s Human Resources systems. This position serves as a primary contact for questions, troubleshooting, and user support. The Analyst partners with functional areas to ensure systems effectively support business processes, data integrity, compliance and user experience and. The position works with stakeholders to optimize functionality, integrations, and support cross-functional projects. The Analyst supports system configuration, workflow design, report development, and process improvements.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides tier-1 troubleshooting and timely resolution for system security, workflows, business processes, integrations, and technical requests, with a focus on Workday.
  • Maintains and modifies Workday configuration in an effort to support the needs of Human Resources, our partners, and our customers.
  • Documents system configurations, business processes, and procedures.
  • Provides expert guidance on Workday, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical users.
  • Assists with training and knowledge transfer related to new functionality or changes in Workday.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, end-users, and business process owners to identify system challenges and assist with implementation of sustainable solutions in alignment with MCC business processes and requirements.
  • Coordinates with ITAT, Strategic Operations, and other stakeholders on system releases, upgrades, and enhancements; assess impacts, test functionality, and support communication and training related to changes; partners with functional teams to map, test, and communicate updated business processes and workflows.
  • Partners with ITAT and business process owners to create, modify, and maintain a wide range of reports and dashboards to meet the evolving analytical and operational needs of the College.
  • Participates in the design, development, testing, and ongoing support of Workday integrations with internal and external systems using Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and other integration tools to help ensure seamless data flow between Workday and other systems.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of training materials; provides end-user guidance on system functionality and best practices; identifies and escalates procedural training gaps.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of MCC’s ERP as well as industry best practices in system administration, data integrity, and process improvement.
  • Partners with functional leads, performing regular system audits to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with MCC policies.
  • Supports audits and compliance reviews requiring system-generated data. 
  • Attends work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Operational understanding of Workday or other ERPs, with ability to adapt to future systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and documentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other college supported systems.
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-directed approach with a high degree of initiative to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgement.
  • Demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into effective system solutions.
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-orientated environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate cooperation and professionalism while maintaining patience and understanding in stressful situations.
  • Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration. or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Workday or another integrated ERP platform; supporting human resources processes, collaborating with functional teams, or assisting with system troubleshooting, configuration, or reporting.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
  • Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.
  • Workday certifications preferred.
  • Must pass a background check.
