Job Summary:

The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing Japanese corporate clients while actively developing new business opportunities. The RM serves as the primary point of contact for these clients, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions that encompass a wide range of banking products and services to help achieve the Bank’s growth, profitability, and client satisfaction objectives.

 

Role Exposure:

  • Cultivate deep relationships with key decision-makers within Japanese corporations, earning trust and building long-term partnerships
  • Hone your skills in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding your portfolio and contributing to the Bank’s success
  • Develop your expertise in analyzing financial performance, assessing the credit worthiness, and structuring innovative financing solutions that merit client’s unique needs
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of a wide range of corporate banking products and services, from lending to trade finance to treasury and cash management
  • Partner with colleagues across different departments to identify opportunities to cross-sell products and deliver holistic solutions to clients
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, economic developments, and the competitive landscape in the Japanese corporate market
  • Build your career under the mentorship of experienced and seasoned professionals/leaders

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in relationship management and business development
  • Strong background in credit evaluation and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and customer service with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels
  • Proven ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate effectively, and close deals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess complex situations and develop creative solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different units and functions to deliver results
